Kings acquire Tracy McGrady…

Written by on February 18, 2010

In somewhat of a surprise move, the Sacramento Kings traded for 7-Time All-Star Tracy McGrady & currently hold the rights to his $22 million expiring contract.

However, there is still a chance that McGrady could end up in New York before today’s 3pm EST trading deadline, as it appears as Chicago is out of the running.

Carl Landry & Joey Dorsey will also join McGrady in Sacramento, while Kevin Martin, Kenny Thomas, Hilton Armstrong & Sergio Rodriguez will get shipped to Houston.

McGrady’s scoring average has dipped in each of his last 4 seasons, as he’ll try to prove that he can still be a serviceable scoring option like he was in Toronto rather than a superstar like he was in Orlando.
