Vladimir Guerrero will try to help Texas end their 9-year playoff drought, as the Rangers agreed to a $5 million ,1 year deal with the free agent outfielder.
Guerrero has been known throughout his career as one of baseball’s most potent hitters, as he’s hit .321 lifetime & also led the American League in intentional base-on-balls for four straight seasons.
The free-agent signing ends his 6-year run with the Angels, as he won an American League MVP Award (2004), made 4 All-Star Game appearences & led the AL in 2004 in total bases, runs created & runs.
Guerrero became expandable after the Angels signed Hideki Matsui to a 1-year deal on December 16th.
