Cardinals top Packers in Wild Card thriller!!

In the 3rd & final rematch of a Week 17 matchup, the Green Bay Packers & Arizona Cardinals put on a shootout that will forever go into the history books.

Arizona blew a 21-point 3rd quarter lead, but ended the game on a defensive touchdown after Michael Adams’ fumble strip of Aaron Rodgers led to a game-winning 12-yard touchdown return by Karlos Dansby to finish off a thrilling 51-45 overtime win.

Although Rodgers had a great playoff debut despite a rocky start by completing 28 of 42 passes for 422 yards & 4 touchdowns, Kurt Warner was the star of this game.

In quite possibly his final NFL game barring an Arizona loss, Warner delivered his best performance ever while knocking out the NFC’s hottest team, as Green Bay had won 6 of their last 7 heading into Sunday’s Wild Card matchup.

Warner was so dominant that he had more touchdown passes (5) than incompletions (4) while completing 29 of 33 pass attempts for a blistering 87.9%.

Green Bay had problems all game trying to stop the run, as Arizona’s “born-again” rushing attack piled up 156 yards on the ground.

Steve Breaston (7 receptions for 125 yards & 1 touchdown) & Early Doucet (6 receptions for 77 yards & 2 touchdowns) stepped it up bigtime in the absence of Anquan Boldin, who was inactive with a high ankle & MCL sprain.

The Cardinals will now travel to the Louisiana Superdome for a Divisional Playoff meeting with the top ranked New Orleans Saints on Saturday.
