Redskins fire Jim Zorn…

The Washington Redskins relived Jim Zorn of his duties on Monday morning, as his short 2-year run has now come to an end.
Zorn was stripped of his offensive play-calling duties, as the Redskins brought Sherman Lewis out of retirement to be their new coordinator.
The move backfired, as Washington lost 8 of their final 10 games with Lewis controlling the offense.
Zorn had a rather successful 1st season coaching the Redskins despite the team’s 8-8 finish, as 4 offensive starters (Clinton Portis, Chris Cooley, Chris Samuels & Mike Sellers) all made the Pro Bowl.
There are reports already surfacing that retired Mike Shanahan is in Washington D.C. tonight meeting with Redskins owner Daniel Snyder & new general manager Bruce Allen.
