Two Wizards teammates pull guns out over gambling dispute..

Even though the 10-20 Washington Wizards are just two games out of the playoffs, their controversial story could cause some players to miss time.
Reports are surfacing from the Verizon Center (home of the Wizards) staff that point guard Gilbert Arenas & seldom-used guard Javaris Crittenton pulled guns out on eachother following a gambling dispute inside the arena.
According to both Yahoo Sports & the New York Post, Crittenton confronted Arenas inside the locker room about a gambling debt that Arenas had owed him. In retalitation, Arenas pulled out his gun on Crittenton, who also drew his weapon. It seems as if no shots were fired, nor anyone was injured in the dispute.
Arenas recently admitted to carrying guns inside his locker for Wizards’ home games, as he also stated that they were unloaded with no ammunition inside.
If league commisioner David Stern feels the same way about guns that he did once he released the following statement from 2006, then Arenas & Crittenton could both be in bigtime trouble:
Stern on athletes carrying firearms:
“We think this is an alarming subject, that although you’ll read players saying how they feel safer with guns, in fact those guns actually make them less safe. And it’s a real issue.”
Arenas is still allowed to play while this dispute is under investigation.
