The Boston Red Sox bolstered their starting rotation on Wednesday, as free agent pitcher John Lackey agreed to a $82.5 million, 5 year deal.
Lackey spent all 8 of his previous major league seasons with the Los Angeles Angels & has failed to follow up on his career-high 19 wins in 2007.
In a separate move, the Red Sox also signed Mike Cameron to a $8 million, 2 year deal.
The 3-time Gold Glove winning outfielder still has some power in his bat, as he’s hit 20 homers & driven in 70 runs or more in each of his last 4 seasons.
