Brett Favre acheived a historic milestone on Sunday afternoon, as he threw for a season-high 392 yards & scored his 500th career touchdown during Minnesota’s 36-10 rout over Chicago.
The Bears kept it competitive in the early going, as Jay Cutler hooked up with Johnny Knox on a 24-yard touchdown strike to tie the game 7-7 with 12:12 remaining until halftime.
The Vikings then proceeded to reel off 17 straight unanswered points, which finally ended with Robbie Gould’s 38 yard field goal in the 3rd quarter.
Things got so bad for Chicago in the 2nd half that they only mustered 2 yards of total offense while running 12 plays.
Jared Allen had a big day defensively, as he sacked Jay Cutler twice & also recorded an interception.
The Bears have now lost 4 straight games & 6 out of their last 7, as they will try to turn things around next week at home against the 1-10 St. Louis Rams.
