CTA bus crashes into house on South Side

A CTA bus crashed into the side of a house at 115th Street and Vincennes Avenue on the South Side this morning, injuring three people, police said.

The driver was transported to Metro South Hospital but his condition was not known, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak. Three passengers were taken to Roseland Hospital.

The injuries were not life threatening, said CTA spokeswoman Kim Myles.

A 111 Pullman/111th/115th bus was traveling south on Vincennes when it hit the house, she said.

115th Street was closed between South Church Street and Watkins Avenue. Vincennes was closed between 114th and 116th streets.

The cause of the crash was under investigation
