NFL.com is reporting tonight that the Chicago Bears & quarterback Jay Cutler have agreed on a 2-year contract extension that includes $20 million guaranteed & could be worth up to $30 million overall.
On the flipside of this, former Bear & current Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton is making just $670,000 this season despite leading them to a surprising 6-0 record.
Orton could command a “Matt Cassel like deal” in the neighborhood of $60-65 million during the offseason, as he is currently 7th in the NFL in passing yards (1,465) & 8th in quarterback rating (100.1).
