Game 2:
The Rockies scored the game’s first four runs & held off a furious Phillies rally to win 5-4.
Yorvit Torrealba & Dexter Fowler were the two hitting stars for Colorado, as Torrealba hit a 3rd inning two-run homer while Fowler added a pair of sacrifice flies.
Philadelphia had a chance to win it in the 9th with runners on 1st & 2nd with 2 outs, but Shane Victorino lined out to Ryan Spilborghs in right field to end the game & tie the series 1-1.
Game 3:
Colorado was just 2 outs away from taking the series lead, but a 9th inning sacrifice fly from Ryan Howard turned out to be the game-winner as Philadelphia pulled out a stunning 6-5 win.
Chase Utley had 3 hits for the Phillies, which included a 1st inning homer off Rockies starter Jason Hammel.
Game 4:
Huston Street once again had an opportunity to close the game & keep the Rockies’ season alive, but the Phillies had other ideas.
Ryan Howard hit a game-tying 2-run double, while Jayson Werth followed with a game-winning RBI single to lift Philadelphia to a series-clinching 6-5 win.
Yorvit Torrealba’s 8th inning 2-run double was spoiled, as it briefly gave Colorado a 4-3 lead & a chance to force the series back to Philadelphia for a decisive Game 5.
