LeBron James: Braylon Edwards “punched” my friend

Apparently, there seems to be no love between two of Cleveland’s biggest superstars.
Reigning NBA Most Valuable Player LeBron James of the Cavaliers claims that Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards punched James’ friend Edward Givens in the wee hours of Monday morning outside of a Cleveland nightclub.
Givens issued the following quote to the Plain Dealer regarding his incident with Edwards:
“Braylon comes up and started saying things, degrading me,” Givens said. “He said if it wasn’t for LeBron (James) or the Four Horsemen (James’ friends and business partners), I wouldn’t have what I have, nor would I be able to get girls. Everyone knows Braylon has a problem with LeBron.
“So I had to speak up for myself. The conversation started to escalate. As some of his teammates started to pull him back, he punched me. As long as I’ve known Braylon, I’ve allowed him and his friends to come into our events free of charge. Whatever jealousy he has with LeBron, he felt he needed to take it out on me.”
Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini says that he has already spoken to Edwards regarding the incident, so it’s unsure at this time whether he’ll receive a team suspension or a suspension from the NFL.
This happened just hours after Edwards failed to catch a single pass for the first time in his career during Cleveland’s 23-20 overtime loss to Cincinnati, which now leaves them as one of five winless teams in the NFL.
