Are you ready for some Favre-ball?
Written by The Go-To-Man Mattie T. on October 5, 2009
The day we have all been anticipating since August 18th, 2009 is finally here.
Brett Favre will take on his former Green Bay Packer team for the first time ever in a Monday Night Football showdown, as he’ll try to keep his Minnesota Vikings unbeaten in the NFC.
Favre won’t have to do anything spectacular if Adrian Peterson continues his dominating play against Green Bay, as the 3rd year back from Oklahoma is averaging 113 rushing yards per game & 6.3 yards per carry in 4 career meetings against the Packers.
Aaron Rodgers will look to one-up the man he replaced in Green Bay, but he’s averaged just 153 passing yards in 5 career Monday Night Games with 5 touchdowns & 5 interceptions.
This should be a very close game, but i am taking Minnesota as they have the edge with Adrian Peterson & a ferocious pass rush led by standout defensive end Jared Allen. 27-23 Vikings win to remain in 1st place in the NFC North.
