Defense gets the job done

It appeared the Bears’ defense was in for a long day after the Pittsburgh Steelers marched 92 yards on 13 plays for a touchdown on their first possession. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw four passes of at least 15 yards on the drive.
”They kind of got us on our heels right off the start,” linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer said after his first start in place of injured Brian Urlacher. ”Things weren’t working. We were tired. There were a lot of guys with their hands on their hips on that first drive.”
Those 92 yards set the tone for a 308-yard game for the Steelers, who came up empty twice on field-goal tries pushed wide by kicker Jeff Reed.
