Minnesota Timberwolves fans will have to wait until at least 2011 to see their point guard prodigy Ricky Rubio in an NBA uniform.
The 18-year old international phenom agreed to a 6-year deal to remain with Regal FC Barcelona, as he will have to play at least two more seasons overseas before he can begin his professional career.
This move most likely means that Minnesota will start rookie point guard Jonny Flynn of Syracuse.
Kurt Rambis is set to begin his 1st season with the Timberwolves, who have suffered 4 consecutive losing seasons & have not made the playoffs since the 2003-04 season.
In that campaign, Minnesota reached the Western Conference Finals but lost in 6 games to the Los Angeles Lakers.
