Venus and Serena Williams have made history again. This time it’s NFL history, as they have officially become the first female African American owners of an NFL franchise ever.
That’s right! They are officially part owners of the Maimi Dolphins!
The tennis stars have joined Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez and Gloria and Emilio Estefan in becoming limited ownership partners in the Florida team (Euroweb).
That is some pleasant shit to hear. No doubt. This is totally an unexpected pleasure to see these young ladies accomplish this milestone.
“I am so excited to be part of such a renowned organization,” says Serena. “Having spent so much of my childhood in the area, being involved with a staple of Miami culture is a huge honor. We look forward to many championships and much success together with the Miami Dolphins.”
Venus is pleased as well:
“I am honored to be a partner in the Miami Dolphins franchise and thankful to owner Stephen Ross for allowing Serena and I to be part of Miami Dolphins history.”
