Jay Cutler’s home debut? A “Beary” good one!

Chicago Bears’ quarterback Jay Cutler made his home debut a great one on Saturday night from Soldier Field, as he led the team to three successful scoring drives during their 17-3 preseason win over the New York Giants.
Cutler completed 8 of 13 passes for 121 yards with a touchdown & didn’t commit a single turnover on Saturday, as some of his highlights included a 38-yard strike to a diving Devin Aromashodu & a couple of nice throws to former college teammate Earl Bennett, who finished with 2 catches for 42 yards.
Jay’s sharp passing also helped open things up for Matt Forte, as he bursted open up the middle in the 1st quarter for a 32-yard touchdown run.
Despite his impressive performance, Cutler still thinks the Bears have some work to do.
“It’s preseason. Everyone got a little excited last week when we didn’t produce but we looked OK tonight,” Cutler said. “There’s still room for improvement, so we’re going to go back to work. We’re coming together as an offense. We’re not quite there yet.”
The Bears will now travel to Invesco Field in Denver, as Jay Cutler will play against his former Broncos team for the first time next Sunday night in prime-time at 7pm on NBC.
