It looks like Big Ben is in some big trouble.
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ 27-year old quarterback & 2-time Super Bowl winner has been accused of sexual assault by an unnamed woman who claims that Ben Roethlisberger “blocked the door exit” before proceeding to rape her in his hotel room during a celebrity golf tournament last summer in Lake Tahoe.
The woman was an employee at Harrah’s Casino when the incident happened, which started when Roethlisberger supposedly called her hotel room in regards to a non-functioning TV sound system.
No statements were made as to why the woman waited over a year to file a lawsuit against Roethlisberger.
Ben did participate in this summer’s American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament in Lake Tahoe, but it is unsure which hotel he stayed at during his visit.
This is Roethlisberger’s second run-in with the law, as he was nearly killed from a motorcycle accident in June of 2006.
Ben Roethlisberger led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a win in Super Bowl XLIII over the Arizona Cardinals despite a career-low 80.1 quarterback rating & totaling a career-high 14 fumbles (7 lost).
