Yao Ming’s NBA future in jeopardy?

The former 2002 1st overall draft pick Yao Ming from the Houston Rockets could possibly miss all of next season & longer with a broken left foot injury that was originally suffered during a May 8th playoff game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Team doctors have acknowledged that Yao’s injury “hasn’t healed yet” and added that the 7’6 center will undergo additional tests to form out a new plan of treatment.
This move could certainly damage a Rockets team who could lose Ron Artest to free agency come July 1st & will be without guard/forward Tracy McGrady for at least the 1st half of next season after undergoing left knee surgery.
Just last month, Rick Adelman’s Houston Rockets advanced past the 1st round of the playoffs for the first time since 1996, but lost in 7 games to the eventual NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers in the West Semifinals.
