Kobe Bryant: I’m staying in L.A.

Life is sweet for Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar guard Kobe Bryant.
Not even a week shy after winning his 4th NBA Championship & first NBA Finals MVP, Bryant says that he will re-sign with the team that he has spent all 13 seasons of his professional career with.
Bryant’s contract extension could equal up to 5 years at $135 million, as it will keep him in Los Angeles through 2014.
He also wants the team to keep forwards Trevor Ariza & Lamar Odom, who are both unrestricted free-agents.
It is unknown if Phil Jackson will return for a 19th NBA season, as health issues will determine whether or not he will honor the final year of his current 2-year contract as Lakers’ head coach.
If Ariza & Odom return, the Lakers could be the early favorites to repeat as champions for the 2009-10 NBA season.
