Jameer Nelson to return for NBA Finals?

The Orlando Magic might get an emotional boost from a possible return from All-Star point guard Jameer Nelson, who’s been out since February 2nd with a torn labrum in his right shoulder.
Nelson was interviewed by TNT’s Craig Sager during Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday & said that “he’s aiming to return in the pre-season”.
But now with Orlando just 4 wins away from capturing their 1st ever NBA title, GM Otis Smith is going to give Nelson a serious look despite repeatedly telling media that “Jameer is out for the season”.
Nelson put up 27.5 points per game (highest scoring average against all opposing teams) & 6.5 assists per game this season against the Lakers in 2 meetings on 58.8% shooting & a blistering 58.3% from three-point range.
If Nelson were to return, he would split playing time between Rafer Alston & Anthony Johnson.
Game 1 of the 2009 NBA Finals begins Thursday evening at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.
