CHICAGO, IL – 38 year old Ray Washington was gunned down Thursday afternoon while standing outside a West Side residence that police believe he was having appraised.

Washington was an alleged leader of the Four Corner Hustler gang.

Washington, a convicted felon, has an arrest record that includes narcotics and weapons violations, according to records. His name also surfaced in major mortgage fraud investigations involving upper-level gang members, a source said.

Three people are in custody after rolling up to shoot Washington in broad daylight, with police like a few feet away.

Harrison District tactical officers heard the shots and saw the gunmen getting into a car. Other officers, including gang enforcement teams, joined the chase. The suspects were arrested a short distance away after running from the car.

“They did a murder in plain view in the middle of day,” Police officer Schmitz said. “And we got ’em. We were on them. That’s what our job is.”

No charges have been filed against the three people that were caught as of yet.  Police are prolly trying to gather information as to why this was done right in front of the world and shit.

Police arrested three suspects after a short chase and also seized two weapons within minutes of the shooting in the 3800 block of West Flournoy in the West Lawndale neighborhood.  Charges against all three “are still pending,” police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien said at 10:30 a.m.

Washington was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 2:17 p.m., a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.
