Ashton Kutcher’s One Million Twitter Followers Making News

Yes, Ashton Kutcher is the first person, place or thing to get one million followers on Twitter.

And for some reason, everybody seems to care.

I did indeed think it was almost cute that  Ashton and CNN were actually competing to get there first.

I also thought it was cute that iamdiddy (that’s Sean Combs’ Twitter nick name for those who haven’t joined yet) was even involved and promoting Ashton.

Diddy on Twitter: “EMERGENCY, the race is close. it’s imperative that a human being and not a news company reaches the 1 million mark first! Follow @Aplusk now…Ashton just neds 2,000 more to reach 1,000,000!! Let’s go people! Add him now!! Ashton reached 1,000,000!!! Congratulations @aplusk!”

Hell, I was on Ashton’s side myself.

It’s all fun and everything, but the thing that is blowing my mind is the media coverage on this event.  I expected everyone on the internet to prolly cover this story, but it’s all over TV.

As I just ate my lunch (Fudrucker’s if you care), I flipped through the channels and noticed Fox News was covering the story.  Then channel after channel, peeps were talking about Ashton Kutcher’s one million followers.

I decided to Google it, and I was like, “Wow!”

The interesting thing is that everyone seems to care that Ashton Kutcher has one millions followers on Twitter, but most people don’t even know what that means.

For those that are curious, I’ll tell you exactly what it means: absolutely nothing.

Meanwhile, I’m gonna go back to Twitter.com now and see if Ashton is gonna post any more pictures of Demi Moore in her underwear…
