Jeff George to attempt an NFL comeback?

He’s 41 years old & hasn’t attempted an NFL pass since September of 2001.
This apparently won’t stop 12-year veteran quarterback Jeff George from attempting a comeback to pro football.
George recently said that he’s 20 pounds lighter from his listed 214 frame & can still throw “75-78 yard bombs”.
Jeff George’s best NFL season was in 1997 with the Oakland Raiders, where he amassed a 91.2 quarterback rating (best among 16-game season) & threw a career-high 29 touchdown passes.
Ironically, George was also sacked a career-high 58 times in 1997.
Jeff George also started 3 playoff games during his career (1-2 record), with his best performance coming in a 49-37 Divisional Playoff loss to St. Louis in 2000.
In that game as a Minnesota Viking, George completed 29 of 50 passes for 423 yards, 4 touchdowns & 1 interception.
Two of George’s touchdowns went to Randy Moss, who amassed 9 receptions for 188 yards & scored 2 touchdowns despite the loss. Moss also squirted a water bottle in a referee’s face during that game, which got him fined for $25,000.
Bears fans will remember George from his brief 2004 stint with the team despite never appearing in a regular-season game.
