Two Teens Slain While Drag Racing

GARY, IN – Kendall Alford, 17, and Nathaniel Williams, 18, were killed when the car they were riding in hit a pothole around 2pm Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses say the car was drag racing along the Gary streets when it hit a pothole, then split into two after crashing into a utility pole per Chicagobreakingnews:
Police continue to investigate the crash, but Lake County Coroner David J. Pastrick says his staff was told the teens were drag-racing.
The two young men were seniors at Gary’s West Side High School. Authorities say Alford was driving the car.
