Marty Booker released by the Bears…

Following an unsuccessful 2nd stint, the Chicago Bears released 10-year veteran wide receiver Marty Booker on Friday.
Booker is coming off perhaps the worst season of his career in 2008 after appearing in just 13 games & caught 14 receptions for 211 yards & 2 touchdowns. (Booker also averaged a career-low 16.2 yards-per-game)
It’s a far cry from what Booker did in 2001 & 2002, when he recorded back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons & made the ’02 Pro Bowl.
The National Football Post did a recent mock draft & had the Bears selecting wide receiver Percy Harvin from the national champion Florida Gators at #18.
Harvin is undersized (5′,10, 180), but does have the explosiveness & athleticism to contribute right away for Chicago.
