Ricardo Montalban Passes Away at 88

The man who was your host on Fantasy Island for so many seasons, and who’s accent tickled my little brother and me when we were children, has passed away per People Magazine.
His son-in-law Gilbert Smith tells PEOPLE that Montalban had been in declining health for months and died from “complications of advancing age.”
“He was in peace,” said Smith, who said that the actor was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. “He will be missed,” added Smith.
I recall that we would get to watch The Love Boat every week, but as soon as Fantasy Island would start to come on right after, in my momma’s house it was time for bed for all children.
However, our room had a perfect view of the living room TV through a hall way mirror. We caught Mr. Roarke welcoming the guest every week, and we cracked up when the hoola girls would start to dance. Everything is funny to an 8 year old boy.
May Mr. Montalban rest in peace.
